Cowboy Candy (Pickled Jalapenos)

Cowboy Candy: The sweet and hot condiment that your charcuterie board didn’t know it was missing… till now.

This is an easy recipe, it’s basically just a quick pickle recipe. It makes enough to fill a mason jar.

About 15 jalapenos (remove or leave the seeds depending on spicy you like things) slice into rounds

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon salt

1 Tsp chili powder

1/2 tsp ground ginger

1/4 tsp turmeric powder

Bring the sugar, vinegar, and spices to a boil, then let it simmer till the consistency of a thick syrup. Add the jalapenos and stir for about 6 minutes. Pour into a mason jar and let sit overnight in the refrigerator.

These are good on top of baked brie, as a hot relish on hotdogs, to change up your nachos, or even over vanilla ice cream. We have found so many uses for them and everyone wants more
